Burnett County Highway Department will be plowing and treating the town roads. The snow appears to be starting around 1pm today, Tuesday, December 28, 2021.  He stated it appears that it will come at approximately ²/¹⁰ths of an inch an hour.  The forecast is the snow will continue into tomorrow morning,  Wednesday,  December 29, 2021, ending around 7am.  At this time, the plan of action is to allow the snow to wane and have plows start plowing snow at 7am tomorrow morning.  A plow will start in the Town of Grantsburg with others assigned, as they finish in the County, to insure Grantsburg Town Roads are all cleared before close of day tomorrow.  Roads will be treated in areas of intersections, grades and curves for icing concerns.  We will continue to monitor this event throughout the day tomorrow and early morning hours of Wednesday in case we need to adjust the plan of action.  I believe plowing after the event is the best course to take.  If immediate response situations occur, we will respond to them at that time. Please drive cauthiously and according to current conditions. Icing could occur during the event.
